2kWh Portable Power Station Comparison
Five SunoraX products are close to 2kWh, but they are not duplicate SKUs. Their output, solar input, expansion architecture, microinverter interface and enclosure protection create distinct channel positions.
SunoraX 2kWh model map
| Model | Capacity | Key differentiator | Best-fit channel position |
|---|---|---|---|
| SX-P20 | 2048Wh | 2400W output, up to 500W solar input | Mainstream 2kWh portable platform |
| SX-P20P | 2048Wh | 3200W output, up to 1000W solar input | Premium high-output and faster-solar option |
| SX-P20X | 2048Wh base | Expandable capacity up to 16kWh | Modular home-backup channel |
| SX-P20M | 2048Wh base | Expansion plus dedicated microinverter connection | Balcony and flexible residential packages |
| SX-P20W | 2048Wh | IP65 enclosure protection and 3200W output | Rugged field and specialist outdoor channels |
SX-P20 vs SX-P20P: standard or Pro
Both products use a 2048Wh LiFePO4 battery platform and support UPS operation and app control. The commercial difference is power and solar recovery. The SX-P20 is rated at 2400W with up to 500W MPPT input. The SX-P20P increases rated output to 3200W and maximum MPPT input to 1000W.
Choose the SX-P20 when the range needs a balanced mainstream 2kWh model. Choose the SX-P20P when target customers will pay for higher-load capability or faster recovery from a larger portable solar array.
Expandable models solve a different requirement
The SX-P20X is a modular starting point for customers who may add capacity later. The SX-P20M adds a dedicated microinverter connection, positioning it for balcony and flexible residential energy packages. Neither should be compared with a standard portable station on capacity alone.
For any expandable quotation, confirm the supported add-on battery configuration, maximum system capacity, cable and accessory requirements, regional electrical configuration and installation scenario.
Rugged protection is a channel feature
The SX-P20W targets harsher operating environments with IP65 protection. This makes it more relevant to field equipment, emergency supply and specialist outdoor channels than to a price-led general retail assortment. Environmental claims should always be matched to the exact operating and connection conditions in the technical documentation.
Build a deliberate 2kWh assortment
A distributor does not necessarily need all five models. A focused range could use SX-P20 as the core product, SX-P20P as the performance upgrade, then add one specialist platform based on expansion, balcony integration or rugged use. Final selection should reflect the market, expected container mix and after-sales capability.
