OEM Portable Power Station Procurement Checklist
A clear brief shortens model selection and reduces avoidable quotation revisions. Use this checklist before requesting wholesale or private-label pricing.
1. Define the market and buyer
- Destination country and sales channel
- Distributor, installer, outdoor, RV, automotive or home-backup customer
- Expected retail position: value, mainstream, premium or specialist
- Required launch date and forecast quantity
The same battery capacity can support very different product positions. Market and buyer information should therefore come before model selection.
2. Specify the electrical requirement
- Target capacity in Wh or kWh
- Continuous AC output and expected peak loads
- AC voltage, frequency and socket configuration
- Required AC, solar and vehicle charging inputs
- UPS requirement and target transfer time
- USB-C, USB-A, DC and vehicle outlet needs
- App, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth control requirement
Do not select by capacity alone. For example, SunoraX offers models near 1kWh with either 300W or 1800W continuous output, and models at 2048Wh with different output, solar-input, expansion and protection features.
3. Match the product architecture
Portable
For mobile backup, outdoor, RV and general distribution. Compare the portable power station range.
Expandable
For buyers who may add battery capacity later. Review expandable storage systems.
Rugged
For specialist channels that require stronger environmental protection. Review rugged mobile power.
Solar bundle
Match panel power and connectors to the selected device. Compare foldable solar panels.
4. Confirm compliance and documentation
- Required destination-market certifications
- UN38.3 and transport documentation requirements
- Label, manual and packaging language
- Plug, voltage and frequency configuration
- Requested test reports and document versions
Certification scope is model- and market-specific. Request the exact documentation set for the selected SKU and destination rather than assuming that one report covers an entire product family.
5. Define branding and commercial scope
- Logo placement, color and product naming
- Packaging artwork and manual requirements
- Requested accessories and bundle composition
- Estimated quantity and container plan
- Target Incoterm, destination port and delivery window
- Sample, approval and production milestones
SunoraX supports qualified B2B OEM/ODM projects. Feasibility, minimum order quantity, pricing, lead time and customization scope are confirmed in the formal quotation.
6. Plan warranty and after-sales
- Channel partner’s first-line support capability
- Fault evidence and service workflow
- Spare-parts or replacement-unit planning
- Warranty terms for the selected product family
- Local repair, return and logistics constraints
SunoraX portable power stations carry a two-year warranty, home storage products five years and the SX-B20 balcony storage platform ten years. The applicable written warranty and after-sales process should be attached to the final order documents.
